What Have We Achieved

Our Mission

To contribute to increased public awareness, through development education (DE) and education for sustainable development (ESD), of the importance of responsible forest management, as a means of alleviating poverty in timber exporting countries.

To help Irish society become sustainable in their timber and wood-product needs by insisting on wood from FSC certified forests globally and where practicable supporting Irish-produced wood-based products and Irish jobs.

AWARENESS - EDUCATION - ADVOCACY - POLICY + ACTION = SUSTAINABILITY

The forest is a peculiar organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands for its sustenance and extends generously the products of its live activity; it offers protection to all beings offering shade even to those who destroy it.
