Saturday April 6th, 2013: EIL Intercultural Learning - Furniture restoration with development education talk
Venue: Seomras Sproi, 10 Belvedere Court, Dublin 1.

Volunteers returning from Zambia share their volunteering experiences with Just Forests.

There will be talks and an up-cycle workshop, and practical uses for materials workshop. The group comes from Development Perspectives and worked with Zambia-based group Barefeet.

The workshop will be an interactive way of learning about issues of sustainable living.
Wood is a part of our daily life, we use and discard so much wood. The workshop will show its participants how to reuse some of this wood, how to integrate a more sustainable way of living in their daily life.
It's open to all that want to create something and learn about how to value the wood we take so much for granted.

It will be divided in two two sections, with a workshop in the morning where we will have Tom Roche from Just Forests giving a talk and then after lunch we will have the practical section where we will show the participants how to up cycle using old pieces of wood.

Preferably there will be a maximum of 12 people. RSVP at upcyclingwoodworkshop (AT) gmail (DOT) com

All welcome. More here...
