Wood of Life... Who is it for?
Who should visit -
The Wood of Life exhibition has very broad appeal and impacts many social disciplines. The exhibition is suitable for pupils from 6th and 7th class primary and students in the junior and senior cycle post-primary.
Transition year students, woodwork and construction studies students and students of architecture/engineering/biology/science/geography are also encouraged to explore the exhibition.
At Primary/Junior Cycle level:
- ‘Natural and Human Environments’ strands in the Geography curriculum
- ‘Living Things’ strand in the Science curriculum
- ‘Environmental Awareness and Care’ strand in Science and Geography
At Senior Cycle/Leaving Certificate level:
- Applied Science Groups – Architectural Technology, Agriculture Science
- Social Studies Groups – Art, Geography, History, Music, Religious Education
- Business Studies Group – Economics, Business
- Science Group – Biology
- Transition Year (TY), Leaving Cert Applied (LCA) and Leaving Cert Vocational Programme (LCVP)
