Development Education is empowering the individual to become more globally aware of not just the community he belongs in but also to understand its relationship in a wider context. It incorporates related global issues to concepts of traditional classroom subjects (e.g. Social Studies, History and Culture) in order for the students to apply what they are learning and connect them to other more humanistic understanding of the world they live in. Educating students using real world problems will increase their awareness as global citizens, thus, modifying their behavior towards a more holistic understanding and distribution of the common good.
