Just JIGSAWS

Putting a jigsaw together is a great way of spending quality time with children and grand-children. Or, it can be a great way to relax on one's own and get away from the struggles of life for a while. While working on jigsaw puzzles, it has been studied that there exists continuous activity thought the brain involving all the cells and parts of the brain. This intense activity works to exercise the brain cells and thereby activate them and increase their efficiency and capacity too.

May, 2016:

Just Forests has a number of very educational forest-related posters that are easily adapted for conversion to jigsaws. If you would like to get hard-copy versions of our jigsaws please contact us. A donation to Just Forests will help us to continue our development education work.

Jigsaw puzzles were originally created by painting a picture on a flat, rectangular piece of wood, and then cutting that picture into small pieces with a jigsaw, hence the name. John Spilsbury, a London mapmaker and engraver, is credited with commercializing jigsaw puzzles around 1760. Jigsaw puzzles have since come to be made primarily on cardboard.

All Just Forests jigsaws are made in Ireland and are produced using FSC certified cardboard and packaging from responsibly managed forests.

Corporate Jigsaw:

Just Forests invites inquiries from businesses who might wish to sponsor some of our jigsaws for local schools, hospitals, institutions and nursing homes.

Medical Benifits of Jigsaws:

There have been several studies like the MacArthur Study, that has found that people who have been used to doing jigsaw puzzles as well as cross word and were fully active stood to gain a longer life span and also lesser chances of falling prey to Alzheimer’s, memory loss, dementia and other old age problems.
