This is an initiative of Just Forests in association with the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Killarney National Park, Killarney Tidy Towns, Killarney Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and the Trustees of Muckross House

Killarney Celebration of Trees
The objectives of the Killarney Celebration of TREES weekend would be very much in keeping with the spirit of the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of which Ireland is a signatory.

The SDGs are particularly supportive of sustainable tourism as they are determined to protect the planet from degradation, including through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.
