Get Native Trees

Teachers receive a follow-on classroom project sheet

After your visit
Follow-up classroom projects will greatly enhance the learning gained from your school's visit to the exhibition. To help you to facilitate such initiatives Just Forests has prepared a sheet with recommended activities. The activities are practical, expressive and above all empowering. The sheet is available either from the facilitator at the exhibition or from our website.

We ask all teachers to continue to expose their pupils to regular up-dates on the development of the Wood of Life project by logging on to www.justforests.org

Plant For The Planet and involve your school in the  Billion Trees Campaign

Dear Billion Tree Campaign partner,

The Plant for the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign has been an inspiration for millions of people concerned about climate change and wider environmental challenges. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) appreciates and applauds all those who have taken part since its launch in 2006 and contributed to a series of milestones.

Currently, the website registers over 12 billion planted trees in 193 countries--that is quite an achievement.

After several extensions, and as the campaign became self-propagating, we felt that the time was ripe to hand over the campaign to the next generation via the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation.

We marked the success of the campaign at an event held in Durban, South Africa.

At the ceremony, which was attended by the campaign’s patron H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco, H.S.H. the Princess of Monaco, the UNEP Executive Director Mr. Achim Steiner and representatives from Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation, the Billion Tree Campaign was officially handed over to the Foundation which will continue the activities of the campaign and keep the campaign’s momentum.

We encourage all our participants to continue to support the Billion Tree Campaign under its new management. Kindly confirm to us in writing if we can go ahead and share your contact details with the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation.

Again, all our appreciation for everyone's efforts which have provided a practical expression of the international community's desire to catalyze positive environmental change in communities, companies and countries.

Thank you and best regards,

Ms. Rajinder Sian
