Magdalena Bojarska
Our wood anatomist
Just Forests are delighted to welcome Magdalena Bojarska as a volunteer. Magdalena is a sustainability enthusiast, striving towards achieving full recognition of the value of forest products, especially throughout the timber trade supply chain.
She has trained at Royal Botanic Garden Kew, under the supervision of Dr Peter Gasson, a prominent wood anatomist. During that time, she was working on the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR) authentication inquires including furniture, flooring and musical instrument samples. Magdalena has completed a BA in Plant Science at Trinity College Dublin, having completed her thesis under the supervision of Prof Michael Williams ‘Using wood anatomy to identify levels of non-compliance in wood products, under EU Timber Regulations (2013)’.
She has joined Just Forests to help establish appropriate due diligence facilities in Ireland.
